Rival teams have expressed trade interest in RJ Barrett in multi-team talks with the Raptors, reports Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Barrett averaged 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists on .491/.339/.717 shooting in 57 regular season contests in 2025/26 (30.3 minutes per game). He boosted those numbers in Toronto’s first-round series against Cleveland, averaging 24.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 4.0 APG and 1.3 SPG on .477/.386/.634 shooting in seven games (38.7 MPG).
The 26-year-old is entering the final season of his contract, which will pay him $29.6MM in ’26/27. He will be extension-eligible throughout the upcoming league year.
Barrett has markedly improved his offensive efficiency and has become a better play-maker since he was traded to his hometown team in December of 2023. The seven-year veteran was selected third overall by New York in the 2019 draft.
Scotto doesn’t specify any of the opposing teams that have been involved in trade conversations with the Raptors, but it’s normal for clubs to have talks ahead of the busiest transaction window on the NBA schedule.
