The Washington Wizards pulled off a surprising trade before the deadline when they acquired Anthony Davis. There have been numerous rumors circulating since the trade, including that Davis is unhappy being in Washington.
According to Davis, this is false.
“The visit’s been great,” Davis said. “They definitely welcomed me with open arms, spent some time with Ted and Zach. It’s totally different from what they make it seem. I know it’s like, oh, they have the stigma of they’re not a good team. I haven’t seen the practice facility yet, but the arena is top-notch, world-class for sure. Seen the chefs and how they take care of the families. It’s been great.”
Davis has been out with a finger injury, while also dealing with a groin injury. There was some hope he’d suit up in his new jersey this season, but that hope has now been put to bed.
Davis is reportedly out for the remainder of the season to make sure he’s completely healthy for next season.

Will Davis return and have a dominant year for the Wizards next season? Or will Washington trade him this offseason?
