Report: Suns ‘100%’ Don’t Want Bradley Beal Back

According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports, the Phoenix Suns “100%” don’t want Bradley Beal back next season.

The problem is that Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract.

The Suns acquired Beal from the Washington Wizards in 2023. Beal has appeared in 106 games with Phoenix. He’s averaging 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

A three-time All-Star, Beal will make $53,666,270 next season. He has a player option worth $57,128,610 for the 2026-27 season.

Beal turns 32 on June 28. He has career averages of 21.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 801 games with the Wizards and Suns.

The Minnesota Timberwolves swept the Suns in the first round of the 2024 playoffs. Phoenix was so bad this year that the team didn’t even make the play-in tournament despite having Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

The Suns hired Frank Vogel in 2023 and fired him in 2024. Mike Budenholzer was hired in 2024 and fired in 2025.

Phoenix hired Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott. Hopefully, Ott doesn’t get fired after one season like Budenholzer and Vogel.

Since making the NBA Finals in 2021, the Suns haven’t even been back to the conference finals.
