The Phoenix Suns missed the NBA playoffs and play-in tournament this season despite having Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
Mike Budenholzer was fired as head coach after just one season. He was replaced by Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott.
The Suns, who will trade Durant this offseason, had multiple fistfights in the locker room this season, according to DeMarcus Cousins, who apparently has NBA sources now.

The Suns went 36-46 this season. They finished in 11th place in the Western Conference standings.
After trading Durant, Phoenix is expected to sign Booker to a huge extension. The franchise would like to move on from Beal, but the guard controls his future since he has a no-trade clause.
Since leaving the Golden State Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, Durant has been swept in the first round of the playoffs twice. The NBA legend hasn’t gotten past the second round of the postseason.
Durant wants the Suns to trade him to the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat or Houston Rockets. However, Phoenix can trade the future Hall of Famer anywhere since KD doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors are interested in trading for Durant, who has one year left on his contract. The Spurs are Durant’s No. 1 preferred landing spot.
A two-time Finals MVP, Durant appeared in 62 games for the Suns this season. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from 3 and 83.9% from the foul line.
Durant has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks in 1,123 NBA games. He won the 2014 MVP Award with the Oklahoma City Thunder and back-to-back titles and Finals MVPs with Golden State in 2017 and 2018.
