The Phoenix Suns have plenty of trade suitors for future Hall of Fame forward Kevin Durant, though the organization isn't expected to strike a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves after reports of Durant having "no desire" of joining Anthony Edwards and co. came about.
That hasn't stopped trade talks between the Suns and Timberwolves, however.
According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, two two sides are still active in negotiations:

"Minnesota is the one wildcard team you think about - they made back to back Western Conference Finals. I reported over the weekend Kevin Durant's preferred spot was Miami, Houston and San Antonio. No Minnesota on that list," Charania said on the Pat McAfee Show.
"Clearly there's not an interest for Kevin Durant to go there, but Minnesota wouldn't be the first team to trade for a player that doesn't want to be there. The Raptors did it in 2018 with Kawhi Leonard - he didn't want to go there, he wanted to go back to L.A. but he goes to Toronto and wins a championship that year.
"It's not something that's revolutionary. From my understanding Minnesota is still studying it. They're not out of it. They're trying to figure out if there's a pathway where we can make this gamble, bring Kevin Durant in, still be able to build a roster ... I think Minnesota's going to keep studying it ... Minnesota is still very much engaged and active in these conversations."

There were previous reports of the Suns and Durant wanting to work together to find his next team, though at the end of the day, Phoenix isn't required by any stretch to meet Durant's demands.
That might make trading Durant tougher, especially with just one year remaining on his deal, though after dealing with Bradley Beal's no-trade clause, the Suns might just do what they have to do in order to strike a deal.

Phoenix Suns Reportedly Signing 4-Year NBA Player
Jordan Goodwin spent the 2024-25 season playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. He had averages of 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 29 games. Earlier this week, Goodwin was waived by the Lakers. Via ESPN's Shams Charania (on July 20): "The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guard Jordan Goodwin, sources tell ESPN. Goodwin emerged as a key rotation piece for JJ Redick late last season, playing 29 games and four playoff contests. Goodwin and Shake Milton were released to clear space for arrival of Marcus Smart." On Wednesday, Charania reported the news that Goodwin is now being claimed by the Phoenix Suns. Via Charania: "The Phoenix Suns have claimed former Lakers guard Jordan Goodwin off free agency waivers, sources tell ESPN. Goodwin, waived by the Lakers to create roster space for Marcus Smart, is a gritty, upside pickup for the Suns backcourt." Goodwin has also spent time playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Wizards (and Suns). He played 40 games for the Suns during the 2023-24 season. Via ESPN's Bobby Marks: "Goodwin has a $2.3M contract with only $25K guaranteed. The remainder is fully protected if not waived by Jan. 7. Good value claim with no risk $25K comes off the books for the Lakers." The Suns finished last year as the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 36-46 record. They missed the postseason for the first time since the 2020 season.

Riddick described the moment as tense, and as the quotes are now being shared, Steelers fans are likely picturing exactly how that meeting went down. Tomlin is known for being a direct, no-nonsense leader. If something bothers him, he speaks up, and it appears he did not appreciate being questioned by Orlovsky about his coaching style when it came to Pickens. Suarez is top target but many would qualify as upgrades." Rosario is hitting .271 with five home runs and 18 RBIs this season for the Washington Nationals. But the nine-year veteran has big-market experience, making his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 2017. The 29-year-old is making $2 million this season and will be a free agent after the World Series, according to Spotrac. But wait, there's more. "Other possible third-base trade targets include Royals All-Star Maikel Garcia — in theory, Kansas City would have interest in one of the Yankees’ outfielders to play left field for them," The Athletic's Jim Bowden reported Monday. Garcia, who made the American League roster for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, is hitting .291 this season with eight home runs and 41 RBIs. The 25-year-old is in his fourth big-league season and is making almost $775,000 this season, according to Spotrac. Garcia still has four years of arbitration eligibility remaining, so he won't come cheap. Chicago Blackhawks reportedly set to trade 25-year-old goaltender to Stars rival, Edmonton Oilers
