Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Lakers
USA TODAY Sports

Ian Black: Lakers 119, Hornets 108.

Brandon Miller continues to be on fire, scoring at least 21 points in four straight contests after last night’s 35-point explosion. The Lakers are missing some key defenders to injury, so he is primed for another strong night. Lakers hold the edge in this one behind the power of James and Davis though, as they have a lot more to play for right now.

Prediction record: 8-1.

Drew Cook: Lakers 126, Hornets 105.

Brandon Miller is now averaging 22.7 PPG throughout his last 10 games and is coming off of a career-high 35 point performance against the Indiana Pacers. Both teams are dealing with their fair share of injuries at the moment, but the advantage still resides with Los Angeles. In 55 career games against the Hornets, LeBron James has only lost seven times. Expect Miller to continue his offensive ascension, but take the Lakers to cover as the Hornets continue to build upon their now seven-game loss streak!

Prediction record: 0-0.

Philip Trapp: Lakers 124, Hornets 102.

Where do we go from here? On the second night of a Hornets double-header, the Lakers visit the Buzz City squad at home in Charlotte to deliver an anticipated shakedown of the bugs. Last night, the Hornets lost to the Indiana Pacers, 115-99. You can expect to still be down LaMelo, Hayward, Williams — if not others, judging from Sunday's game that saw Ish Smith start at point guard. Hornets fans can hold out hope, but not much else.

Prediction record: 4-2.
