Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Makes NBA Finals History During Thunder-Pacers Game 2

Oklahoma City got out to an early lead in Sunday’s game and they never looked back as they were able to tie up the series before it shifts to Indiana for Game 3 on Wednesday.

The Thunder saw multiple players have impressive performances including Chet Holmgren who recorded 15 points and six rebounds while Jalen Williams added 19 points, five rebounds and five assists of his own.

Alex Caruso also had a massive game off the bench with 20 points while Aaron Wiggins dropped 18 points and four rebounds of the bench.

Of course, it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who once again led the way for the Thunder in the victory as he ended the game with 34 points, five rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

With his 34 points in Game 2 to go along with his 38 in Game 1, Shai made NBA Finals history on Sunday as his 72 points are the most by any player in their first two career NBA Finals games.

Allen Iverson had previously held the record with 71 points which he did in the first two games of the 2001 NBA Finals for the Philadelphia 76ers.

This is an incredible feat by Shai and one that shows just how elite of a scorer he is.

Shai and the Thunder will now look to steal a game on the road to gain control of the series on Wednesday night as they travel to Indiana for Game 3.
