Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry is one of the greatest players in NBA history. A four-time champion, two-time MVP, 11-time All-Star and the league’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers, Curry’s impact on the game of basketball extends far beyond Golden State’s dynasty. At age 37, the Warriors guard remains one of the league’s most prominent figures, with his on-court production also matching his off-court influence.

Over 70 games last season, Curry averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. He shot 44.8% from the field, 39.7% from three-point range and a league-best 93.3% from the free-throw line.

Golden State’s season ended earlier than expected, as Curry went down with a hamstring injury in the second round of the playoffs and the Warriors fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves. But the veteran point guard’s production showed no sign of slowing down — even as he approaches his 17th year in the league.

Now, he is making another move off the court as the 2025-26 season nears.

Steph Curry Makes Off-Court Announcement

On Tuesday, Curry shared some personal news with fans. In a post on X, he announced the release of his new book, titled Shot Ready.

"It’s finally here," he wrote. "SHOT READY, my new book, is officially out now. More than a story about basketball, it’s a story about belief, resilience, and doing the work when no one’s watching. For every young dreamer who’s ever been underestimated: this one’s for you. Grab your copy today and get Shot Ready."

This book is the latest in a long line of ventures for Curry away from the court. From his Eat.Learn.Play foundation to his many business partnerships under Thirty Ink, the Warriors star has consistently leveraged his profile into endeavors that extend beyond basketball. His book is another way of connecting with fans and sharing a deeper look into his life beyond basketball.

The timing of Curry’s book release comes during a quieter offseason for Golden State. Held up by the restricted free agency of Jonathan Kuminga, the Warriors will once again lean heavily on their veteran point guard as they look to stay competitive in a stacked Western Conference.

Curry’s production last year again proved his ability to lead a team, but with he, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler all aging, there are questions about how much longer this core can sustain remain in contention.
