Steph Curry Makes Major Career Move Amid NBA Season

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to expand his name beyond the NBA landscape.

And amid the Warriors' 2024-25 campaign, Curry has accepted a role as an assistant general manager for his alma mater, the Davidson Wildcats, per Shams Charania at ESPN.

Curry will become the first and only active player in the United States to have an administrative role with an NCAA Division 1 basketball team.

The Warriors star made the decision to participate in the administration of his former college during his 16th season in the NBA, having already cemented a Hall of Fame career at the professional level.

Curry previously competed with the Wildcats from 2006 to 2009. He was originally drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

During his time at Davidson, Curry averaged 25.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

During the 2024-25 season with Golden State, Curry has averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

Curry has led the Warriors to the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference standings with a 36-28 record. Golden State is currently riding a four-game win streak behind Curry and recently acquired star Jimmy Butler.
