The shorthanded Golden State Warriors may be in for more trouble.
With Stephen Curry injured, the Golden State Warriors are in a complicated situation right now, especially keeping their early-season struggles in mind.
On top of Curry, Draymond Green is reportedly playing through an injury as well. As a result, the burden of leading the team falls on Jimmy Butler’s shoulders.
Worst Case Scenario for the Warriors – Stephen Curry suffers a right quad contusion!
However, the Dub Nation may be in for another heartbreaking development, this time around concerning Butler.
During the Warriors’ recent matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, Butler took a hard fall to the court in the second quarter.
Butler attempted to get up right away, but he was clearly in pain and was limping when he finally managed to stand up.
The incident took place when Butler was attempting an alley-oop finish while being defended by Pelicans’ Micah Peavy.
Butler did end up finishing the game while dropping 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists. This helped the Dubs in registering an important 104-96 win over the Pelicans.
Butler’s double-double performance was worthy of applause, but most of Dub Nation was waiting for an update on his status for future games.
Well, head coach Steve Kerr gave a concerning update about the 36-year-old during the postgame conference.
“I’m sure he’ll be sore tomorrow. I asked him when it happened, and I said, ;What hurts?’ And he said, ‘Everything,'” Kerr told the media.
The Warriors coach tried to lighten the mood by cracking a joke: “I said, ‘Me too. I’m 60, I’m supposed to be hurt.'”

Kerr then praised Butler’s performance against the Pelicans, and no further updates on his injury status. With the Warriors not having a game for a few days, it should help Jimmy rest up.
But the worst-case scenario would be losing both Butler and Curry for an extended period of time in an already average start to the season.
