The Golden State Warriors moved from sixth to fifth place in the Western Conference standings on Tuesday with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies, but their quest to avoid the play-in tournament isn't quite over yet.
They face another big game with big playoff implications on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers, who are in third place in the West. Golden State is just half a game ahead of the seventh-place Los Angeles Clippers, and there is only half a game between it and the eighth-place Grizzlies.
Forward Jonathan Kuminga missed Tuesday's game due to a pelvic injury. Head coach Steve Kerr said via Anthony Slater that he will warm up prior to Thursday's game and try to play.
Jonathan Kuminga just emerged for his pregame shooting routine. Steve Kerr said he will warm up before clearance, but sense is Kuminga will try to play at Lakers tonight.

Kuminga is Golden State's leading scorer off the bench with a season average of 16.0 points in 25.0 minutes a game. With Jimmy Butler now on board, offensive support around Butler and Stephen Curry will be key for the team moving forward.
Kuminga has appeared in just 41 games this season due to injury. But when he's available, he infuses the Warriors with youth and energy.
The Warriors have won 19 of their last 24 games since Butler made his debut with them nearly two months ago. Due to that hot streak, some feel they're now legitimate championship contenders.
