Breaking news from NBA insider Shams Charania has stated that Houston Rockets center Steven Adams has agreed to a 3-year $39 million contract extension.

The contract is reported to be fully guaranteed through 2028.

Adams averaged 3.9 points and 5.6 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game. After missing the entire 2023-24 season due to knee surgery, Adams played in 58 games this season.

Despite having low averages, Adams was key for the Rockets’ zone defense that proved effective against the Golden State Warriors. With his veteran presence in the locker room, the Rockets will look to make some noise come next season.
