Brittany Renner reportedly wants PJ Washington to pay at least $35,000 in monthly child support in the wake of the latter’s $90 million contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks this offseason.

According to TMZ Sports, the court ordered Washington to pay $5,500 per month in child support to Renner, which she feels is not enough. The two dated early in Washington’s NBA career and had a baby boy in 2021. Moreover, Renner also demanded that the Dallas Mavericks star pay $50,000 for her legal fees.

“I cannot afford the high cost of living, given the current child support orders,” Renner reportedly wrote. “I cannot provide (our son) a life anywhere similar to that of his father.”

“(They) have multiple luxury vehicles, constantly post their designer shopping clothes, and boast about luxury vacations. They also constantly post their children wearing designer clothing,” she added about Washington and his wife, Alisah. “In contrast, I live in a humble Airbnb rental in West Hills and shop for (our son’s) clothes at Target.”

Dallas Mavericks suffer huge injury blow in training camp

In other Dallas Mavericks-related news, veteran center Daniel Gafford is expected to miss the first two to three weeks of the 2025-26 NBA season for rolling his ankle on the first day of the team’s training camp.

The former 38th overall pick signed a three-year, $54 million contract extension this summer after a productive 2024-25 campaign with the Dallas Mavericks, having averaged 12.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.8 blocks on 70.2 percent shooting from the field across 57 regular season appearances.

With Gafford on the sidelines, Dereck Lively II will take the lion’s share of minutes at the starting center position.
