The Suns have waived forward CJ Huntley, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, continuing to reshape their two-way roster ahead of the season.
Phoenix is also planning to release shooting guard Koby Brea. Both players held two-way contracts, leaving Pat Spencer as the only remaining player on such a deal once the moves are complete.
Huntley, 24, went undrafted out of Appalachian State in 2025 and initially signed with the Suns shortly afterward. Phoenix waived him in November before bringing him back on a two-year, two-way agreement in March.
The 6-foot-11 forward appeared in four NBA games as a rookie, averaging 3.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 10 minutes per game. He had a much larger role with the Valley Suns, averaging 15.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.0 block in 42 G League appearances. He shot 62.3 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from three for the affiliate.
The Suns have been looking for frontcourt help with Mark Williams recovering from shoulder surgery. Duop Reath remains on an Exhibit 10 contract and could have his deal converted to a two-way agreement, though that move has not been confirmed.
Cutting Huntley and Brea would give Phoenix two openings to work with before setting its roster.
