Suns’ Miles Bridges makes strong Devin Booker championship declaration

SCOTTSDALE– The Miles Bridges and Devin Booker connection began in their shared home state of Michigan. Now, the two Phoenix Suns teammates will get to share the hardwood.

Although Bridges and his teammate never played together, they were always fond of one another. From conversations from the moment he was drafted to culminating in Phoenix, it might be a full-circle journey.

“As soon as I got in the league, he embraced me,” he said when asked about playing alongside Booker. “I played against him, talked to him after games, we’ve followed each other on social media. I’ve always been a fan of Book.

“He’s always been a great player, one of the most underrated players in the league. I’m excited to play with him. I feel like if anyone deserves a ring, I think Book deserves the ring.”

Booker had his shot for a ring in 2021, but was beat by the Milwaukee Bucks in a 4-2 series. Still, the Suns’ all-time leading scorer averaged 28.2 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds and had two 40+ scoring outbursts.

Since then, he hasn’t been back and has faced some adversity along the way. He was apart of teams that vastly underperformed and underwent a near rebuild, until the 2025-26 season came along.

What was thought of as a retooling or rebuilding year turned into overachievement. A 44-win season and a shot in the playoffs wasn’t on the radar, except for everyone in the organization.

Now, Bridges has the opportunity to give the Suns that leap in a stacked Western Conference.
