With only two teams left competing in the NBA Playoffs, everyone else has shifted firmly into offseason coverage. That means plenty of mock trades and plenty of rumors.
For the Phoenix Suns, their biggest offseason storyline is obvious. Where does Kevin Durant end up being traded to?
At first, the market on Durant appeared to be modest. However, as things progress closer and closer to the point of trades, more teams are emerging as potential fits for the two-time NBA Finals MVP.
One the teams that has been added into the mix is the New York Knicks. Although, according to Shams Charania, they have quietly been there already.
"There was some mutual interest between Kevin Durant and the Knicks at the trade deadline," Charania told ESPN viewers. "The Knicks made an offer for Kevin Durant at the NBA trade deadline. Obviously, there was no Kevin Durant trade."

There was no trade then, but could there be one with the offseason approaching? Dan Favale of Bleacher Report certainly thought so.
The NBA write suggested a 4-team blockbuster than landed Durant in New York. The deal would go as follows.
New Orleans Pelicans get: Karl-Anthony Towns.
New York Knicks get: Kevin Durant.
Phoenix Suns get: Dejounte Murray, Yves Missi, Kelly Olynyk, own 2026 first-round pick (via WSH's swap rights), Indiana's 2026 first-round pick (top-four protected, via NOP), New Orleans' 2026 first-round pick (top-nine protected), 2028 first-round swap (least favorable of BKN, NYK and PHX), Toronto's 2031 first-round pick (via NOP).
Washington Wizards get: P.J. Tucker, 2027 first-round pick swap (most favorable of MIL and NOP, with top-four protection, via NOP).
The Suns certainly walk away from this deal with a hefty package. They get a backcourt partner for Devin Booker with Murray. They also get frontcourt help with a young and promising Missi, plus a savvy veteran in Olynyk.
On top of that, the Suns certainly pick up a long list of draft capital to boot. As far as packages for Durant go, Phoenix could certainly do a lot worse than this considerable haul.
