Team USA news: Not too long ago, Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant were on opposing sides vying for a spot in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. That did not end well for Durant and the Phoenix Suns, though, with the Minnesota Timberwolves completing a clean opening-round sweep over KD and Co.
Right now, the pair of superstars are teammates with Team USA as they are both fixed on a solitary goal, which is bringing home a gold medal from the Olympics. At the same time, however, the competitive juices are still flowing.
A photo of Edwards and Durant from Thursday’s Team USA practice is currently making its rounds on social media. The picture features the Wolves star putting the former NBA MVP on a massive poster, which explains why the photo has taken a life of its own.

That photo was timed to perfection, which is more than you can say about Durant’s timing in his decision to contest Edwards’ dunk. Once again, it did not end well for the Suns superstar.
To be fair to Durant, he took his latest poster like a champ. He even shared the photo on X, formerly Twitter, along with a hilarious three-word caption.

It’s not every day that Durant is put on a poster like this, and it’s even rarer that the moment is captured in all its glory.
For KD, though, let’s just say that this isn’t exactly one of his best moments on a basketball court.
