Luka Doncic has been putting up brilliant performances in the preparation games for the upcoming EuroBasket tournament.
After an injury scare in the game against Latvia that left LA Lakers fans scared, the Slovenian returned for his team just 72 hours later and put up a 28-point performance against Great Britain.
He was brilliant in the 28 minutes he played against Great Britain and is now all set for the next big preparation game against Serbia on August 21.
Awaiting him there will be three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, who has also been unbelievable for his country.
Some of the biggest stars are playing in the EuroBasket tournament and while Luka Doncic is one of them, there are other NBA players who are earning more than him from their massive contracts.
Doncic recently signed a three-year $165 million extension with the Lakers that will see him earn $57 million in the final year of his contract.
However, he is still playing his rookie extension out and will make $46 million next season.

Stars like Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lauri Markkanen are all set to earn more in NBA money than Doncic.
Jokic is set to make $55.2 million, while Antetokounmpo earns $54.1 million on his Milwaukee Bucks deal and Markkanen is set to earn $46.4 million as he signed an extension with the Utah Jazz just last year.
Player Name | Estimated to earn next season |
Nikola Jokic | $55.2 million |
Giannis Antetokounmpo | $54.1 million |
Lauri Markkanen | $46.4 million |
Luka Doncic | $46 million |
Franz Wagner | $38.7 million |
Stephen A. Smith recently revealed that he was happy with Doncic continuing his stint with the Slovenian team despite his injury scare.
The 26-year-old loves playing for his country and will be keen to win something with them.
Lakers and Slovenia coach Gregg St. Jean stated that Doncic had worked hard throughout the summer to be in great shape. However, he even revealed that there was still work to be done.
Slovenia last won the EuroBasket tournament in 2017. Despite being only 18, Doncic was incredible and made it to the All-Tournament team.

Since then, Doncic has not really been able to lead Slovenia to international glory and will be hoping to end that wait with success in the EuroBasket Tournament.
They are in a group where teams like France and Israel will also be favorites to come out on top. But with Doncic leading the way, Slovenia will hope to get the job done and lift the trophy once again after eight years.
