Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Phoenix Suns 116-98, behind a stellar performance from the NBA star.
Edwards finished the game with 44 points, five rebounds and seven assists. With his stat line, Edwards etched his name in the Timberwolves' history books.
The young star tied Kevin Garnett for the most 30-point, five-rebound and five-assist games in franchise history (only including the regular season).
Garnett previously recorded 40 games with a stat line of 30 or more points, five or more rebounds and five or more assists, during his time in Minnesota (1995 to 2007 and 2014 to 2016).

So far this season, Edwards has averaged 27.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game, leading the Timberwolves in points and assists per game.
Edwards was recently named to the third NBA All-Star game of his career while previously earning All-NBA honors and an Olympic gold medal with Team USA during the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Edwards' name in the same category at Garnett should excite Timberwolves fans. Garnett is widely regarded as one of, if not the most talented Minnesota player in franchise history.
He capped off his Hall of Fame career as a nine-time All-NBA member, 15-time All-Star, 2008 NBA champion and 2003-04 NBA MVP
