The No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves trail the No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors 0-1 following Tuesday night's Game 1 loss at the Target Center.

On Thursday evening, the Timberwolves will look to tie the series up at 1-1 before heading to the Chase Center for Game 3.

Just hours before Thursday's Game 2 matchup, Timberwolves veteran Mike Conley Jr. was recognized with a notable honor.

Conley was named a member of the Professional Basketball Writers Association's All-Interview Second Team, recognizing players who are "consistently thoughtful, insightful and engaging with the media."

Conley is featured on the second team alongside Tyrese Haliburton, Bam Adebayo, Josh Hart and Damian Lillard. The first team features Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Draymond Green.

The Timberwolves recognized Conley's accomplishment with a social media post on Thursday.

"Congratulations to @mconley11 on being named to the @ProHoopsWriters NBA All-Interview Second Team! The All-Interview Team honors the players who are consistently thoughtful, insightful and engaging with the media," the team's official PR account wrote on X.

Conley had a rough outing in Game 1. Through 22 minutes on the court, the 37-year-old guard recorded zero points on 0-of-5 shooting from the field and 0-of-2 shooting from behind the 3-point arc.

Still, the 18th-year NBA veteran took the time to speak with media after the game.

"Ultimately, we have to make our shots," Conley said in his postgame media availability. "We're getting decent-to-good looks a lot of the time... It stems from us working for those [looks] a little bit harder."

Conley and the Timberwolves will tipoff against the Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.
