Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards exited Sunday night's game against the Indiana Pacers just three minutes, 8 seconds into the contest due to right hamstring tightness.

Edwards was ruled out by the Timberwolves later in the first half.

Edwards converted a layup in traffic just 3:07 gone in the game to give the Timberwolves a 13-5 lead. One second later, the Pacers called timeout and Minnesota sent in Bones Hyland to replace Edwards.

The three-time All-Star had five points and one rebound before his departure.

Edwards, 24, averaged 36 points in Minnesota's first two games of the season.

Indiana led 60-58 at halftime.
