Tyler Herro shared a profane message on Instagram Friday after he underwent surgery on his left ankle.

The Miami Heat announced Friday that Herro had undergone a surgery on his left ankle that would keep him out 8 weeks.

The Heat said the surgery was to “alleviate posterior impingement syndrome. The 90-minute procedure was performed by Dr. Thomas San Giovanni and assisted by HEAT team physicians Dr. Harlan Selesnick and Dr. Frantz Lerebours at Doctors Hospital Surgery Center in Miami.”

Herro shared a photo to his Instagram Story that showed him laying in a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown. He had taken a selfie that showed him flipping off the camera.

“imma (sic) tear the league back down once I get off this weak a– bed,” Herro wrote in his Instagram message, profanity censored by LBS.

Herro means business.

Herro was the No. 13 overall pick by the Heat in 2019 and is entering his seventh season with the Heat. Last season he made his first All-Star team. He averaged a career-high 23.9 points, and added 5.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. His 47.2 field goal percentage was also the highest of his career, as were his 3.3 threes made per game.

Herro is coming with a purpose in the 2025-2026 season, though he will be out for the beginning of the year as he recovers.
