The space, part of the hospital’s Sue & Bill Gross Women’s Pavilion, serves as a welcome and departure area for patients, particularly parents and newborns as they prepare to return home.
The Bryants have a long history with Hoag Hospital. Vanessa and Kobe both welcomed their daughters there, and this latest contribution highlights Vanessa’s continued commitment to giving back in places that were meaningful to her family. The facility’s permanent naming recognizes both Kobe’s legacy and the Bryant family’s longstanding connection to the hospital, while providing a lasting resource for future families in Newport Beach.
Vanessa’s announcement drew support and admiration from fans, fellow athletes and community leaders alike, recognizing the gesture as both a tribute to her own family’s journey and a gift to families who will walk through that space for years to come.
