Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been one of the more inconsistent teams during the 2024-25 NBA season.

On Wednesday, the Warriors (24-23) were able to get back above .500 after a 116-109 win over Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder, who own the best record in the Western Conference.

Curry finished the night with 21 points on 6-of-15 shooting and four assists and made some history along the way.

Prior the the game, Curry had 24,494 career points, good for 28th on the all-time list, just 11 points behind NBA legend Ray Allen.

With 3:10 remaining in the third quarter, the former Davidson star hit a step-back three to tie the game up at 77, his 12th point of the game and 24,506th of his career. In doing so, Curry (24,515) has now passed Allen (24,505) for 27th on the all-time scoring list.

The Warriors announced the historic feat on X.

"Keep 'em counting Stephen Curry has passed Ray Allen for 27th on the All-Time Scoring list."

This is not the first time Curry has passed Allen on an all-time list. In a December 2021 game against the New York Knicks, Curry broke Allen's previous record of 2,973 3-point field goals, which was the most in NBA history at the time.

Allen had a legendary career of his own. After stints with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Seattle SuperSonics, he was traded to the Boston Celtics, where he joined forces with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. They won one NBA championship together in 2008

Allen later made his way to the Miami Heat, where he teamed up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, winning another title thanks to Allen's historic shot.

Curry now trails New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing (24,815) for 26th on the NBA's all-time scoring list and former Los Angeles Laker star Jerry West (25,192) for 25th. If Curry can stay healthy, he could pass both this season.

Following the Thunder game, the Warriors will continue a six-game homestand with a battle against the Sun on Friday and Magic on Monday. They will then hit the road for a seven-game road trip.
