Steph Curry came crashing back down to earth on Sunday in the Golden State Warriors’ 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. After dropping 95 points in his last two games, Curry struggled mightily against the Pelicans, scoring just nine points on 2-of-11 shooting.

Curry was back on the floor on Tuesday night as he looked to bust out of his mini slump. The Warriors faced the Orlando Magic at Kia Center as part of their current six-game road trip. Curry was on fire in the first half, scoring 22 points on 7-of-10 from the field, en route to rewriting NBA history.

Curry is in the midst of another incredible campaign for Golden State. Entering Tuesday’s contest, the 11-time All-Star has averaged 27.4 points on 45.8% shooting, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals. He currently leads the league in three-pointers made with 4.3 per game on a 38.1% clip.

Curry further cemented his legacy on Tuesday night. Amid his scorching-hot first half against Orlando, the four-time NBA champion point guard climbed the all-time scoring list. The Warriors took to social media to announce Curry’s latest historic milestone.

“Stephen Curry has passed Vince Carter for 22nd most points in NBA history,” the team posted on Instagram.

As of writing, Curry has amassed 25,737 points. He passed Hall of Famer Vince Carter, who scored 25,728 points in his 17-year career. Curry is now 334 points behind Kevin Garnett for No. 21 on the all-time scoring list. For context, LeBron James is No. 1 with 42,184 points and counting.

Curry will want to keep his foot on the gas in the second half as the Warriors look to secure their fourth straight win. They will be back on the court on Wednesday, on the second night of a back-to-back set. Curry and Co. will face the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center.
