Warriors Offered Bradley Beal a Contract Amid Suns Buyout: Report
Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

As the NBA offseason continues to run its course, one Western Conference team has failed to make any moves outside of the 2025 NBA Draft.

That team is the Golden State Warriors as they have had an underwhelming offseason thus far.

Of course, many believed that Golden State would be extremely active this offseason to upgrade their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green as they look to chase another title next season.

Instead, the Warriors are still awaiting a decision by restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga and while waiting, they have missed out on multiple free agent targets.

On Wednesday, the Warriors reportedly missed out on another player that they have been linked to in former Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal.

Beal and the Suns agreed to a contract buyout on Wednesday and he then signed a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.

While Beal signed with the Clippers, there were reportedly multiple teams interested in signing the veteran guard this offseason, including the Warriors.

According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Warriors reportedly offered Beal a minimum contract.

Of course, Beal ended up signing two-year, $11 million contract with the Clippers as he elected to make more money with them rather than signing with the Warriors on a minimum contract.

This was a major blow to the Warriors as they have been searching for another guard to pair alongside Curry in the backcourt since losing Klay Thompson last summer.

Beal would have been a solid fit next to Curry due to his scoring prowess but Golden State will now have to look elsewhere as they once again missed out on one of their top targets this offseason.

Now the Warriors will shift their attention to other free agents that could make an impact for them next season but they may not make any moves until Kuminga makes his decision this summer.
