The Golden State Warriors come into the NBA Draft armed with the No. 11 pick, and they reportedly have a list of players they’re considering selecting, as per ClutchPoints’ NBA insider Brett Siegel. This is the first lottery pick the Warriors have had since the 2021 NBA Draft when they selected Jonathan Kuminga. Before that, it was 2020 when they drafted James Wiseman.

Neither of those draft picks worked out during their Warriors tenure, and what’s equally frustrating for the fanbase is Kuminga had a breakout during the second half of the season and into the playoffs after he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Warriors need to get this lottery pick right, and among the players they are considering are Yaxel Lendeborg, Brayden Burries, Karim Lopez, Morez Johnson Jr., Nate Ament, Hannes Steinbach, Darius Acuff Jr. and Cameron Carr, per ClutchPoints’ NBA insider Brett Siegel.

Following the Kuminga and Wiseman debacles, the Warriors are in the market for an immediate impact player should they opt to keep the pick. It’s not set in stone that they keep the pick, possibly preferring to acquire impact talent or move down for a combination of draft capital.

It’s going to be a crucial offseason for the organization as they look to get back to being a playoff contender in the Western Conference. Head coach Steve Kerr is back on a new two-year contract, but the Warriors do have a Draymond Green decision looming as he can opt out of his contract for the upcoming season and become a free agent.
