It has been a disappointing offseason thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they have failed to make any additions to their roster outside of the 2025 draft as they continue to deal with the situation surrounding restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga.

Golden State was expected to be active this offseason to upgrade their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to chase a championship next season.

Instead, Kuminga’s ongoing situation has caused the Warriors to hold off on making moves until after he makes his decision regarding the future of his career, whether that be in Golden State or elsewhere.

Despite this, the Warriors reportedly have deals in place with multiple free agents that will become official once Kuminga’s situation is resolved.

Stephen Curry's NBA 2K26 rating revealed

While Kuminga has been the storyline for the Warriors this offseason, Curry stole the headlines on Thursday as his rating for the upcoming release of NBA 2K26 was revealed.

Curry was given a 94 overall rating to begin the season which has him tied with LeBron James, Jayson Tatum and Victor Wembanyama for the fifth-highest rating in the game.

Of course, Curry is coming off another incredible season that saw him average 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 448% from the field and 39.7% from three.

The 37-year-old superstar also led the Warriors to the second round of the playoffs after upsetting the second-seeded Houston Rockets in the first round.

Unfortunately for Curry, he suffered an injury in Game 1 of the second round which eventually led to the Minnesota Timberwolves knocking Golden State out of the playoffs.

Curry will now enter his 17th season in the NBA looking to lead the Warriors to another championship with Green and Butler by his side but for them to do so, Golden State will need to make some key additions to their roster before the start of the regular season.
