After a narrow win over the lowly Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, the San Antonio Spurs will look for a statement win on Sunday against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite the Wolves' slow start to the season, they have won five of their last six and are on a surge.
The Spurs lost their lone game against the Wolves earlier this season, but that was Mitch Johnson's first game on the sidelines after Gregg Popovich suffered a stroke, so it's safe to say that the team was not all there mentally. The Spurs are 9-6 at home this season, so expect them to defend the court at the Frost Bank Center.

Assuming the Spurs have Stephon Castle in the lineup to help Jeremy Sochan with perimeter defense, the Spurs should be able to mitigate the inevitable damage that Edwards will cause. If Jones, Castle, and Chris Paul are all in the lineup, then expect the Spurs to make it an interesting game, although if their backcourt remains short-staffed, this might not be a game worth watching unless Victor Wembanayma can take over.
