Going into the 2025 NFL Draft, there were some questions about the quarterback position and how Pittsburgh was going to address it. Despite some options being available earlier in the draft, it wasn’t until the sixth round when the Steelers selected Ohio State quarterback Will Howard. That comes amid drama about the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. There have been some rumors about the veteran joining Pittsburgh, but nothing has happened yet as Rodgers decides on his future in the sport.

The 2025 season will be the 19th for Mike Tomlin as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has a regular season record of 183-107-2 and a postseason record of 8-11. He also led them to a Super Bowl in 2008, just his second season coaching the Steelers. However, the pressure is on to build a team that can win in the postseason. It’s now been eight straight seasons without a playoff win.

The Steelers also ended the 2024 season on a negative note, losing their final four regular season games and their only playoff game. With this schedule reveal, they’ll know who they have to take on to get the bad taste out of their mouth from last season.

Pittsburgh knows that it’s a difficult regular season schedule playing in the AFC North. That makes up for six of their 17 games, and without success against their division, it’s going to be much harder to go where the Steelers want to be. Last season saw the Steelers go 3-3 against the AFC North Competition.
