3 Eagles players that may have saved their jobs in preseason game 2 vs. Patriots
Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are undefeated after pulling off another thrilling last-minute win over the New England Patriots on Thursday.

The Eagles looked like they were going to chalk the game up as a loss until rookie running back Kendall Milton pushed in a touchdown with 4:23 left on the clock and the Birds followed up with a go-ahead two-point conversion. Fellow rookie running Ainias Smith caught the final touchdown pass from third-string quarterback Tanner McKee, resulting in a 14-13 victory.

While that was an exciting final few minutes, here's a look at three Eagles players whose stock spiked drastically in the win which may have helped their case for a final roster spot.

RB Will Shipley

Rookie running back Will Shipley is having a spectacular offseason and only continued to prove that he belongs in the NFL in preseason Week 2.

Shipley shows off his versatility once again, taking advantage of a screen pass where he picked up 19 yards.

This comes after his Week 1 preseason performance where he scored a touchdown against Baltimore as Kenny Pickett faked the pitch to him before targeting him in the end zone for a TD.

TE E.J. Jenkins

Second-year tight end E.J. Jenkins is another name that has stood out throughout training camp and he caught everyone's attention with an 18-yard leaping catch from fourth-string quarterback Will Grier

It's possible he could move up the depth chart behind Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra if he keeps it up.

WR Joseph Ngata

Second-year wide receiver Joseph Ngata may have been a name that fans forgot about until Thursday night.

Ngata caught 5-of-5 targets for 88 yards, including a deep 28-yard pass from McKee.

He received some love from Eagles' star wideout A.J. Brown and other vets for his overall performance.

The Eagles don't have a solidified WR3 yet, maybe Ngata is the guy.
