Five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons has been surrounded by hype and fandom from the moment he set foot in high school. The Folsom, California, native has been seen as one of the top quarterbacks and overall players in the 2026 class for the past few years, and his play on the field is paying off on a personal level.

Lyons is the No. 21 overall recruit, No. 5 quarterback and top-ranked prospect from the state of California, according to 247Sports. He committed to the BYU Cougars in June.

On Thursday, Lyons announced an NIL partnership with one of the biggest athletic brands in the world, almost a full year before he gets to college.

Lyons signed a deal with Under Armour, he announced on his Instagram, as he joins the ranks of NFL star endorsers like Justin Jefferson, Cam Ward and Zay Flowers.

"Pumped to be part of the UAfootball team," Lyons captioned his post. "WE ARE FOOTBALL."

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback has had an unbelievable career at Folsom High School thus far. In his first two seasons as the signal-caller, Lyons totaled over 6,500 passing yards and 84 touchdowns. He also added just over 1,500 rushing yards and 37 scores on the ground, per MaxPreps.

In the first two games of his senior year, Lyons has thrown for just under 800 yards and a combined 12 touchdowns with one interception.

Last season's California Gatorade Player of the Year has caught the eye of many around the country and is now part of the Under Armour team.
