Aaron Rodgers Called Out New York Jets Ownership This Week

The 2024 NFL season has been a tough one for the New York Jets

They came into the season with playoff expectations since Aaron Rodgers was fully healthy and ready to go but they're not going to accomplish that goal. They're 3-9 heading into their final five games of the season.

It's a season that has also seen the firings of both head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. Owner Woody Johnson has had a quick leash this year since he's not happy with everything that has gone down.

Rodgers has seen that throughout the year and wants the Jets to return to hiring the right people for the gigs and allowing them to do their jobs.

“There needs to be a return to hiring the right person at General Manager, head coach and then allowing them to do their job with full backing from the organization,” Rodgers said, via ProFootballTalk.

The Jets will look to hire a new head coach and general manager once the 2024 season ends. They'll be looking for the very best candidate for both roles.

They also need to figure out Rodgers's future since it's uncertain for next year. Rodgers will have to decide if he wants to play and if he does, the Jets will have to figure out if they want him to be their quarterback.

Right now, the Jets are preparing for their next game this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. The Jets will try and spoil the Dolphins' attempts to stay in the AFC's playoff race.

Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET.
