Aaron Rodgers Just Put Dianna Russini on Blast

Aaron Rodgers has never been afraid to criticize the NFL media, and this time, Dianna Russini found herself directly in his crosshairs.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers questioned the media’s handling of the controversy involving Russini and Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. He also raised concerns about NFL reporters having influence over major league awards while simultaneously covering the players and coaches involved.

For Rodgers, the bigger issue appears to be accountability.

He questioned why the Russini situation wasn’t receiving more attention and suggested there would have been significantly more coverage if the people involved were different. It was another example of Rodgers openly challenging the same NFL media establishment that has covered him throughout his career.

And that’s what makes Rodgers different from most quarterbacks.

Plenty of players probably have problems with reporters behind closed doors. Rodgers will go on national television and say it publicly.

You can call him outspoken, controversial or simply exhausting, but Rodgers clearly doesn’t care anymore. If he believes there’s hypocrisy within NFL media, he’s going to call it out.

And with his career nearing its end, Rodgers might have fewer filters than ever before.
