Agent's comments on rise of Giants' Tommy DeVito, Eli Manning claim go viral

Sean Stellato, the agent for New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito, called into the WFAN "Boomer and Gio" program on Tuesday morning after Stellato went viral during New York's 24-22 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night:

"I’m good, I’m blessed," Stellato said during the segment, according to Ryan Chichester of Audacy. "I always say too blessed to be stressed. It was a great night. It’s all about Tommy. Tommy and I are very proud Italian-Americans. We want to represent our culture in a positive way, and sometimes you have fun with it…we had a little fun with it last night."

A native of Cedar Grove, N.J., DeVito first generated headlines this season when he shared he still lives at home with his parents. The 25-year-old now has his teammates, family members and fans dreaming of a run to the playoffs after he guided the Giants to three consecutive victories and a 5-8 record.

DeVito thus far is 3-1 as a starter and completed 83-of-126 passes for 855 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions over his first six regular-season games. He's also rushed for 154 yards and a score on 31 carries.

"Tommy hasn’t really scratched the surface of what he’s gonna become," Stellato said about his newly-famous client. "He’s driven and he’s focused to get ready for [the game at the 6-7 New Orleans Saints this coming Sunday]."

Per Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing, Giants legend Eli Manning revealed during the "ManningCast" broadcast of Monday's NFL doubleheader that he "got some inside intel from some of my boys" and learned that DeVito's agent was known as "Sean 'Slimy' Stellato" in college. Stellato addressed Manning's claim on Tuesday morning.

"I don’t know if that’s just him being a southern dude," Stellato said about Manning. "I look at it as elegant. I don’t know where 'slimy' comes from."

Stellato added that Eli and Peyton Manning may have watched "too much 'Goodfellas'" over the years.

As of Tuesday afternoon, oddschecker listed the DeVito-led Giants as six-point underdogs against the Saints. The undrafted first-year pro will again look to silence doubters as he tries to keep Big Blue in the playoff hunt at Caesars Superdome this Sunday.
