The Detroit Lions knocked off the Baltimore Ravens 38-30 on Monday night in one of the biggest wins of the Dan Campbell era so far.

Campbell's Lions are 2-1 with the lone loss having come the first week of the season to the Green Bay Packers and are set to face the Cleveland Browns at home next week.

The Lions' Monday Night game featured plenty of fireworks from the offense and defense as David Montgomery eclipsed the 100-yard mark and Aidan Hutchinson had a timely strip of Ravens QB Lamar Jackson that led to a fumble recovery.

Afterward, the Lions' superstar defensive end took to the podium while Montgomery played the role of amateur beat reporter as Hutchinson described what he saw on the field.

Hutchinson's Honest Admission

Hutchinson was his usual honest self, shifting back and forth between stoic mode and comedian on the podium after the Lions' win Monday night.

Montgomery watched from a front row seat, recording the man known as 'Hutch' as he spoke.

"He deserves it all, he works his (expletive) off," Hutchinson said post-game after Montgomery reeled off a 12-carry, 151 yard, two touchdown performance against a strong John Harbaugh defense.

"Really, no one deserves it more than David with what he did today...I wish he would have cribbed that long run but he ended up getting caught a little bit, but, no, he's a...He's a baller, man," Hutchinson added as laughter erupted during his critique of the Lions running back.

"And he really...He won us that game today, he was a big reason why we won," Hutchinson finished.

Gibbs Adds Two Scores at Baltimore

Detroit got 67 yards and two touchdowns from Montgomery's backfield mate Jahmyr Gibbs on 22 carries as Montgomery took the lead on a night that had just about everything Lions fans hoped for going into the contest.

The duo combined for 208 yards and four touchdowns while QB Jared Goff ran four times for six yards.

The Lions got 202 yards and a touchdown through the air from Goff, once again unleashing a balanced offensive attack orchestrated by offensive coordinator John Morton.

Morton's performance leading the offense was perhaps the best aspect of Sunday night's game as it quieted the minds of his detractors dating back to Week 1 at Green Bay.

The Lions are officially a contender once again, and Hutchinson and Montgomery are big reasons why heading into a Sunday, Sept. 28 game at home against Cleveland at Ford Field this coming weekend.
