Eric Bieniemy Offers Up Huge Praise for Bengals Legend Willie Anderson

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Bengals legend Willie Anderson was inducted into the Ring of Honor last year. He was also named a semi-finalist for the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame. 

The news doesn't shock former Bengals running back and current Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. 

"Willie was by far one of the most competitive players I had the opportunity to play with," Bieniemy told David Harrison of Locked on Commanders. "Not only was he talented, he was very smart. He worked at it. He was very humble. Willie was just a very athletic individual that I think a lot of people took for granted because of his size. The thing that loved about Willie is he just loved to play the game. Willie showed it, not only on game day, but he showed it in practice every single day. I can't recall Willie honestly missing practice or missing a snap. Willie's good people."

Bieniemy was teammates with Anderson for three seasons (1996-98). Anderson spend 12 years with the Bengals (1996-2007). He was a four-time Pro Bowlwer and a three-time All-Pro.
