Another reason for why Jaxson Dart should have played more against the Chiefs was revealed by one of Kansas City's defenders

The chants for Jaxson Dart to play in the New York Giants' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs were loud and highly noticeable. A mind-numbingly bad offensive output held back the Giants once again, and it was clear that quarterback Russell Wilson was the root cause.

The Giants' offensive inconsistency has fueled the fans' desire to see Dart step on the field. While Dart's becoming the starter may not happen anytime soon, there could have been more deliberate usages for him to throw off the Chiefs than the handful of snaps he got.

When speaking to the media after the game, Chiefs inside linebacker Nick Bolton revealed they had a significant advantage from DC Steve Spagnuolo's experience against Wilson.

"Spags did a great job of mixing up looks today," Bolton told reporters, "We all know how gifted he is when he has some time to prepare and actually played that opponent quite a bit, played Russ (Wilson). So having familiarity with him obviously helped us out a lot."

The Chiefs were ready for Russell Wilson

Wilson dazzled the NFL landscape with his 450-yard day against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. The potent passing attack seemingly aided the Chiefs in setting a trap for Wilson to succumb to.

Wilson launched two deep passes that resulted in interceptions that looked like the Chiefs knew were coming. The degree of predictability and arrogance of those play calls were doomed to fail. They almost appeared as if Wilson had no idea whether his receivers were open every time he threw a deep pass.

Bolton made it clear that they knew exactly what to expect from Wilson.

"Obviously, we've had that going throughout the week of trying to affect that," Bolton stated about Wilson's deep passing, "Understand when he gets going, he's a momentum guy, and he's gonna keep going, keep throwing the ball deep, keep finding check downs for explosive and those things."

Daboll definitely was not going to bench Wilson after his game against Dallas with the sudden emergence of a deep passing game. However, last night's game would have been the perfect opportunity for Dart to attempt multiple passes and take over for a series. When facing a defensive genius like Spagnuolo, anything can help.

Considering how prepared Spagnuolo was, it would have completely thrown off the Chiefs if Dart contributed more than just his read option package. Hopefully, the loss will prompt a full-time move to Dart soon.
