Bears get brutal injury news on $40 million safety

The Chicago Bears are already dealing with a major injury even before the first preseason game.

On Monday, safety Coby Bryant had to be carted off the field, and reports later came that he will miss 8-to-10 weeks due to a hyperextended knee.

Bryant spent the first four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, as they selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win, Bryant was one of a few departures, and he signed a massive three-year, $40 million deal with the Bears.

Bryant’s injury occurred during a rep against tight end Cole Kmet, but Bryant was emotional as he left the field on the cart.
