The Bengals need to win out and they need three games to go their way in the final two weeks to make the postseason.
It's a simple, yet unlikely path to the playoffs.
Cincinnati has to beat Denver and Pittsburgh. They also need the Dolphins and the Colts to lose one of their final two games and the Broncos to lose their season finale against the Chiefs.
Both Miami and Indianapolis are on the road and they'll likely be without their starting quarterbacks.
Anthony Richardson is out for the Colts. He's dealing with back and ankle soreness according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
That means Joe Flacco will start against the Giants.
The Dolphins could be without Tua Tagovailoa. He has a hip injury and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
None of it matters if the Bengals don't beat the Broncos on Saturday night. But if they win, they do have a chance at getting some help on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers are reeling after they blew a 10-0 lead at the start of the fourth quarter on Sunday. The Packers allowed the Cleveland Browns to score 13 unanswered points to win 13-10 in front of 65,470 fans at Huntington Bank Field. Following the game, defensive end Micah Parsons had a crude response to the comeback. "Sometimes, just like today, you s--- the bed," Parsons said via ESPN. "That's just the reality of it. It happens to the best teams. Even the best Super Bowl champs make mistakes, and they pay for it early. You go back to the history of the champions and who've they've played and games they should've won. It's just that competitive. "It's that hard to win. It's hard as hell to win football games. When you win football games, it's a celebration. But when you lose, it sucks." What went wrong for the Packers in loss to Browns Parsons and the Packers had a couple of major blunders in the final minute that they want back. Green Bay kicker Brandon McManus had a blocked field goal attempt that allowed the Browns a chance to get in range for a game-winning field goal. Parsons was called for a neutral zone infraction on the first play of the Browns' drive, allowing Cleveland to start the series from the Green Bay 48-yard line with 21 seconds remaining. Parsons apologized for the penalty, calling it "unacceptable." The All-Pro finished with two tackles. Parsons has extra motivation for avenging the loss against the Browns. The Packers are set to travel to play his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 4.
The Detroit Lions might be in the middle of a very tight matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in a pulse-pounding Monday Night Football matchup, but this stage has also put a national microscope on former first-round pick Terrion Arnold and his struggles at cornerback. Detroit's 14-7 lead eventually evaporated after Baltimore scored two touchdowns in a row, and Arnold is to blame for one of them. Between getting beaten multiple times in coverage and helping the Ravens move to the goal line on a boneheaded pass interference play, things are looking quite glum for the former Alabama star. Even relatives of players are now turning on him. An Instagram account that seems to belong to Williams' brother called Arnold "so a**" after that sequence, saying that things like this happen every week. Even if he is a young player, Arnold's inconsistent play may eventually cause his supporters to thin out. Jameson Williams' brother post Instagram story critical of Lions CB Terrion Arnold Arnold led the NFL in pass interference penalties last year with seven, and he was one of the worst man-coverage players in the game. That was quickly written off, however, as growing pains for someone making the adjustment from college athletes to professional ones. However, 2025 has been more of the same for Arnold, who came into this game with a nasty 47.2 PFF grade. Even though the Lions have perhaps the best set of safeties in the NFL between Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph, Arnold's struggles are significant enough that teams continue to take advantage. READ MORE: Lions have a perfect trade target conveniently falling right into their laps While veteran DJ Reed has generally lived up to the hype, the Lions' lack of quality depth in the cornerback room is at a point where they don't have someone ready to take snaps away from Arnold if he struggles. Simply put, they are stuck with him until things improve. Arnold, much to the chagrin of Williams' brother, is going to be out there until Detroit declares it completely untennable for him to be in such a position. If he doesn't take a step forward, this defense could really start to struggle.
Former Dallas Mavericks guard Quentin Grimes remains a restricted free agent as the league is set to open training camps within the next week or so. Grimes is still tied to the Philadelphia 76ers after a midseason trade from the Mavs, but the team and shooting guard have yet to agree to a deal. According to HoopsHype, Grimes is the third-best free agent available in the NBA. "Small sample size (28 games) needs to be considered, but after getting traded from Dallas to Philadelphia, he put up huge numbers – nearly 22 points per game with over five rebounds and four assists – efficiently, too, shooting almost 47 percent from the floor with the Sixers. That elevation in play could not have come at a better time with him about to hit restricted free agency," HoopsHype wrote. Grimes still in free agency The only free agents higher on HoopsHype's list is Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga, who is a restricted free agent like Grimes, and Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley, who is an unrestricted free agent, but was recently cleared in a gambling investigation that is allowing him to play in the NBA this season. are The Sixers can still match any offer that Grimes receives from another team, which is why the interest in him has remained low despite his exceptional run at the end of the season in Philadelphia. Grimes blossomed with his extended opportunity, proving that he belongs in the league. There is a very good chance Grimes ends up with the Sixers this season, so he will likely sign a qualifying offer just before the start of training camp to return on a one-year deal to Philadelphia. Should Grimes sign a qualifying offer, he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer. Grimes' success since leaving Dallas is another example of general manager Nico Harrison's poor choices in the front office, and while bringing him back could reverse the move he made, a return to the Mavs is unlikely.
The Golden State Warriors have not made a single offseason move to this point. The reasoning for that is they've been in a stalemate with young star forward Jonathan Kuminga. The 22-year-old has yet to sign a contract with the team, which stalled all other negotiations. That, however, could change this next week. Who Could Be Joining The Dubs? "There is a strong expectation leaguewide now that the Warriors will also be signing Seth Curry in addition to the Al Horford, De'Anthony Melton, and Gary Payton II trio," shared Marc Stein. "Golden State currently has six roster spots open. It's believed they will be filled by Horford, Melton, Payton, Stephen Curry's younger brother Seth, second-round pick Will Richard and, of course, Kuminga.” That will fill out their roster much better than the nine players they have been sitting on all summer. What The Vetereans Would Bring to Golden State Horford just spent the last four seasons with the Boston Celtics, where he won a championship with them in 2024. Last season, he averaged nine points, six rebounds, and two assists per game while knocking over 36% from beyond the arc. The big man would be able to stretch the floor and help maintain the bench unit's composure when other veterans might be sitting. Melton is much younger at 27 years old and fills the void as a combo guard for the Warriors. He was previously with the team at the beginning of the 2024-25 season, but was traded to the Brooklyn Nets after he went down with a season-ending injury. It was only six games that Melton appeared in, but he averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Assuming he returns to Golden State, he'll return quality perimeter defense and a solid outside shot. Payton II is loved by the Warrior fan base. His defensive presence, plus overall glue with the entire team, makes him a valuable asset. He is great at guarding the smaller guards and slashing the paint, while he's shown signs of an improved outside shot. Lastly, Seth Curry -- the younger brother of the star Warriors guard -- would provide more outside shooting in a system that plays to his strengths. He averaged 45.6% from the 3-point line last season, and having his older brother around might rejuvenate him in a way other situations might not. This Warriors team could very well be fleshed out by next week, which is important -- considering training camp is just around the corner.
