Bengals QB Joe Burrow out of hospital, OK following throat scare

As Ben Baby noted for ESPN, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was taken to a local hospital following Sunday's overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers because of fears he suffered a throat contusion on a nasty hit that he could've avoided had he safely slid:

Per Jeremy Bergman of the NFL's website, however, Burrow was released from the medical facility Sunday night, and Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters his QB1 "came right to the facility and was ready to go" on Monday morning.

Burrow connected on 26 of 38 passes for 281 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss to Green Bay that dropped Cincinnati to 3-2 on the season. Thus far, the second-year pro has completed 71.7% of his attempts during the campaign and has 1,269 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions coming off the torn ACL he suffered last November.

The Bengals will look to return to winning ways at the 0-5 Detroit Lions this coming Sunday, and it appears Burrow should be good to go for that matchup.
