The Cincinnati Bengals are getting ready for kickoff against the New York Jets. Before the game begins, each team has released their inactive players list.
Here are the Bengals players who will not play against the Jets:
Risner was a late addition to the injury report with an illness, listed as questionable mere hours before kickoff. He's started the last two games at left guard while rookie Dylan Fairchild dealt with a knee injury he suffered back in Week 5. With him active, the Bengals will have eight offensive lineman available for the game.
Fairchild is expected to start at LG again with Risner being the first guard off the bench. Lucas Patrick will back up the center position with Lee out. Lee, Sample, and Wilson were all doubtful with injuries. Burton and Jackson, per usual, are healthy scratches.
Cincinnati's injuries have limited the number of healthy scratches they could make this week, and despite being benched and requesting a trade earlier this week, Wilson will dress. He will continue backing up rookie Barrett Carter and act as the first linebacker off the bench. He's played 38 snaps the last two weeks in his new role.
Trey Hendrickson will also play. Hendrickson missed last week with a hip injury and was a limited participant in practice this week. Sample's injury will allow Myles Murphy and Shemar Stewart to play plenty of snaps behind Hendrickson regardless.
