The Buffalo Bills entered Week 10 at 6‑2, aiming to sweep the season series against the struggling Miami Dolphins, who came in at 2‑7. Buffalo looked to continue their strong form and solidify their standing in the AFC East, but the game got off to a rocky start.

On the opening drive, the Bills suffered a major blow when defensive end Landon Jackson left the field with a knee injury. Shortly after, Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa found wide receiver Malik Washington for a touchdown at the 4:49 mark of the first quarter, giving the Dolphins an early lead and putting additional pressure on Buffalo to respond.

Jackson was hurt during a second-down play on the Dolphins’ opening drive, when running back Ollie Gordon attempted a rush and multiple bodies piled up after a tackle attempt. He was seen grabbing his knee and eventually walked off the field, prompting Buffalo to rule him out for the rest of the game.

“DE Landon Jackson (knee) is out for the game,” the Bills confirmed in an official report.

Jackson’s absence is a major blow for Buffalo’s defensive front. The Bills’ third‑round pick (72nd overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Arkansas was appearing in just his third game of the season.

While his statistical contributions have been limited, he provided valuable rotational depth behind veterans Joey Bosa and Greg Rousseau and his presence had been important in practice and situational snaps. Buffalo’s defensive woes are compounded by other injuries, including edge rusher A.J. Epenesa (concussion) and defensive tackle Michael Hoecht (Achilles).

The Bills will try to respond to the early deficit and maintain their push to sweep the series.
