The Buffalo Bills are searching for their next head coach after firing Sean McDermott last week. The Bills lost 33-30 to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, failing to reach the Super Bowl in their ninth season under McDermott and their eighth with Josh Allen at quarterback.
So far, Allen and the Bills' brass have interviewed candidates like Joe Brady, Brian Daboll, Lou Anarumo, Anthony Lynn, Anthony Weaver and Grant Udinski. One of the eye-popping names to get an interview was Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers, who has no NFL head coaching experience and came out of retirement in December to play emergency QB for the Colts.
On Monday, Rivers withdrew his name from consideration for the Bills' head coaching job. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo explained that it "isn’t the right time" for Rivers and his family, which includes 10 children with his wife, Tiffany.
With Rivers out of the picture, the Bills are looking in a different direction this week. Remarkably, they are expected to interview an even younger head coach candidate than the 44-year-old Colts QB.
Philip Rivers has withdrawn from the #Bills’ coaching search, as @DMRussini reported. NFL head coaching might very well be in his future, just not right now. Sounds like he enjoyed the process with Buffalo but now isn’t the right time for him and his family. pic.twitter.com/9zgNk5IuZh

With the Broncos out of the NFL playoffs after a 10-7 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, the Bills can interview Broncos quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator Davis Webb.
The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that Webb, 31, will interview with both the Bills and Las Vegas Raiders on Monday.
The Bills will get their first crack at Davis Webb this morning, per source.

The Raiders will meet him later today.
Things are moving.
Webb is one of several possible candidates from the teams that were playing on conference championship weekend. He can now speak with the Bills, but they will have to wait to interview any candidates from the New England Patriots or Seattle Seahawks until after the Super Bowl.
As part of Denver head coach Sean Payton's staff, Webb helped develop second-year quarterback Bo Nix and backup Jarrett Stidham, who started against the Patriots. Webb played in the NFL as recently as 2022 and spent a season in Buffalo with Allen in 2021.
