It was quite the day for Bills fans as James Cook participated in practice , the team brought in some reinforcements due to a depleted secondary, and now LT Dion Dawkins reportedly left the field with trainers toward the end of practice but didn't return. However, he was seen dancing and smirking almost immediately after; crisis averted.
There has been no official update from the team on any kind of injury surrounding Dawkins, but what the superstar LT did after being taken off the field with trainers has us both smiling and thinking that it may not be as serious as originally seemed.
During Bills practice this morning, Dion Dawkins left for the locker room with several trainers. Didn’t notice a limp or anything obvious. But didn’t see him return to practice after going inside.

We aren't going to sit here and speculate over injury, just offer what's been provided. Matthew Bove reported that Dawkins didn't appear to have any kind of limp while walking. Shortly after practice, Alaina Getzenberg reported that both she and Bove asked if Dawkins was doing well, to which he responded in a way only Dion Dawkins knows how.
A good bit after practice came to a close, @Matt_Bove and I asked Dion Dawkins if he was doing OK after leaving the session early with athletic trainers. He smirked and then danced away.

As Getzenberg reported, Dawkins simply smirked and started dancing away.
The thought of a Buffalo Bills offense without their superstar LT had the Bills Mafia rightfully nervous about what could come next. Luckily, the terror only lasted for a few minutes as Dawkins was back to his goofy self.
Dawkins has been a game-changer since arriving in Buffalo and has ascended to be one of the very best at his position.
Protecting Josh Allen is of the utmost importance, and Dawkins is always up for the job. It's not every day that you see a highlight reel from an offensive lineman. Dawkins is that good.

After yet another monster season, Dawkins earned some pretty impressive honors, landing himself on the NFL Top 100 with heaps of praise from across the league.
What's more, Dawkins was vital in a new NFL award called The Protector of the Year Award, which is presented to the league's best offensive lineman. The four-time Pro Bowler has been a vocal advocate for the award and was instrumental in its inception.

Buffalo is facing an uphill battle on both sides of the football as injuries continue to rear their ugly head throughout the preseason.
From both starting safeties missing important reps, the team's first-round draft pick potentially being placed on IR, and plenty of weapons on offense are questionable. It might be time to get the bubble wrap out.
All eyes are going to be on Buffalo with whatever happens next regarding Dawkins. Luckily, it appears that he's alright, while no official word has been given from the team. The sky isn't falling, we can breathe (just a little bit).
