The NFL's legal tampering window opened up on Monday, and like a bomb, the news wire exploded. After making a handful of big roster moves, including multiple high-profile cuts, a trade, and a restructure, the Denver Broncos created some breathing room on the salary cap.
Today, we're listing all of Denver's free-agent comings and goings — the departures, acquisitions, trades, and new deals — and we'll update this article in real-time when news breaks on further moves.
With that said, let's dive in.
Russell Wilson | QB | Released: Signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Chris Manhertz | TE | Released
Lloyd Cushenberry III | C | Free Agent: Signed with the Tennessee Titans.
K'Waun Williams | CB | Free Agent: Denver will not be bringing Williams back, though he's yet to sign with a new team.
The Broncos will reportedly pass on tendering or re-signing Harris, a restricted free agent. He started nine games for the Broncos over the past two seasons.
The Broncos signed Jones to a three-year deal worth up to $22.5 million — with a base of $20 million — and includes $12.5 million guaranteed
Jerry Jeudy | WR | Cleveland Browns
The Broncos dumped Jeudy's nearly $13 million salary, getting just a fifth and sixth-round draft pick back in exchange.
Tim Patrick | WR | One-Year Deal
Patrick was a prime cap casualty waiting to happen, after missing the past two seasons with injuries suffered in training camp (an ACL and Achilles, respectively). Instead, he restructured his deal to remain in Denver on a one-year deal.
Mike McGlinchey | OT | Cap Clearance
The Broncos restructured McGlinchey's deal, freeing up $11 million in cap space and creating a new void year on his contract in 2028.
P.J. Locke | S | Two-Year Deal
The Broncos brought Locke back on a two-year deal worth up to $9 million.
After some conflicting reports, it was revealed that Denver had re-signed the reigning AFC Special Teams Player of the Month of November on a two-year deal. Initial reports had Lutz joining the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he's staying in Denver.
Quinn Bailey | OT | One-Year Deal
As a restricted free agent, the Broncos were never going to tender Bailey, even at the lowest level ($3M/year), so they instead negotiated a one-year deal at the veteran minimum to bring him back for depth.
Denver re-signed Bandy, an exclusive rights free agent.
