Browns’ KC Concepcion makes confident admission about Deshaun Watson

KC Concepcion is soon going to experience real NFL action for the first time, with the Cleveland Browns scheduled to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

Concepcion is a name to watch on the Browns side, as the rookie carries some intrigue. For one, he’s yet to play a regular-season game in the NFL. But how he fares in his rookie season will also largely depend on the performance of whoever is running the show for Cleveland’s offense from under center.

For now, it is Deshaun Watson serving as the Browns’ QB1 after he won the role over Shedeur Sanders.

Based on what Concepcion said recently about his chemistry with Watson, it seems like

“Our timing is great,” Concepcion told reporters on Monday (h/t Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com).
“I feel like our timing and relationship has grown so much. I can’t wait to finally put it on display for the whole world to see.”

The training camp gave the former Texas A&M Aggies star wide receiver a chance to build chemistry not just with Watson but with Sanders as well, but Cleveland ultimately went with Watson to the team’s QB1 in Week 1 — at least.

Regardless of who’s throwing the ball, eyes will be on Concepcion, who is out to prove that he has what it takes to become a star in the league.

Concepcion was taken in the first round as the 24th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft by the Browns. Before that, he spent a season with the Aggies and racked up 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games in 2025.
