Bryce Young was served the ultimate disrespect by Fox Sports analyst

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young didn't have a chance.

Recently, Fox Sports' Craig Carton proclaimed Young a bust, despite the Panthers hiring Dave Canales as head coach to work with the No. 1 overall pick. Carton went as far as to say that Young doesn't even belong in the NFL.

"I said this when he got drafted, this would be a terrible draft pick. Bryce Young belongs in the UFL," Carton said. "Bryce Young is not an NFL quarterback. And I'm not saying he's not a great kid or a good athlete - clearly he is. But Bryce Young, at 5-foot-2, cannot be a successful quarterback in the NFL.

"He will never have great success in the NFL, and it was one of the worst picks a team has ever made in the history of the NFL while picking number one."

Clearly, Carton is being dramatic. Young isn't 5-foot-2. And to say the former Alabama quarterback belongs in the UFL is disrespectful.

Young didn't have an extremely productive rookie season. It wasn't entirely his fault. Frank Reich wasn't the right coach, and the offensive had too many voices in his ear. That will change in year two. Canales has revived two quarterback's careers. He was brought in to do the same with Young. Give it a chance.

Yes, Young threw 11 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. And no, he doesn't have the overwhelming physical attributes. However, given the right tools, Young can still be a good quarterback in the league.

UFL just seems a step way too far for the kid.
