To start the 2025 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play two away games and appear in the first of four prime time games. Their first home game comes after their two initial road games, as they aim for a record fifth consecutive NFC South championship.
The Buccaneers will face the Texans at NRG Stadium on September 15 in a Monday Night Football matchup, marking one of four prime-time games they’ll play in the 2025 season – the same number as last year.
The Buccaneers’ other prime-time games include a Week 7 Monday night matchup at Detroit, a Week 12 Sunday night game against the Rams in Los Angeles, and a Week 15 Thursday night home game against the Falcons. While their Week 18 home game against Carolina is still TBD, nine of their 16 scheduled games are set for 1:00 p.m. Sunday kickoffs.
Tampa Bay will have every opportunity to control its own fate in trying to win a fifth straight NFC South crown – and thereby break the record of four they share with the 2017-20 New Orleans Saints – as four of their last five games are against division foes.
The Buccaneers have a favorable path to win a record-breaking fifth consecutive NFC South title, with four of their last five games against division opponents. Their final three home games are against NFC South foes, including New Orleans in Week 14, Atlanta in Week 15, and Carolina in Week 18. Additionally, they’ll visit Carolina in Week 16, setting up a strong chance for Tampa Bay to control its own destiny.
