The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did on Sunday what they've done in recent years - get out of New Orleans with a win. The Bucs defeated the Saints in commanding fashion 23-3 to improve to 6-2 on the season and pick up an all-important second road division win in two tries this year.

After the game, Bucs general manager Jason Licht did what he does - clap back after prior derogatory comments against him or his team. In this case, his target was Saints DE Cameron Jordan. Licht had some fun at Jordan's expense after the game on Twitter/X, as he poked fun at the veteran defender for his comments years during the 2023 Pro Bowl games after Tom Brady's departure from the franchise.

Licht played Jordan's now-infamous clip of "Tampa Bay will probably go back to who Tampa Bay has been" followed by Jordan's stat line from the game - a single tackle - with laughter added over it.

It's not the first time Licht has had some fun at Jordan's expense with the same quote on Twitter/X. After the Bucs clinched the NFC South in January 2024, Licht fired off the same clip with the caption "Yep, went back to being the Bucs! Champs again."

Last year, after defeating the Saints 27-19 to clinch the NFC South for the fourth straight season, Licht turned back to the same clip again.

Licht has shown in the past that he pays attention to what's being said about him and his team, and he's not afraid to put those poor predictions back on anyone. He's also shown he'll provide some water spitting moments that you won't see or hear from many other executives around the league.

But that's what you want in a general manager, or really anyone associated with a team in any capacity. A competitive fire and a long memory for slights, which the team also had on the field with Tom Brady as the franchise's unquestioned leader and again has with Baker Mayfield.

Jordan had the iciest of cold takes back in early 2023, and it's clear that it's still serving as fuel for Tampa Bay's general manager years later. A true gift that keeps on giving.
